Site Architecture -will it be hierarchical, linear, web style, or a hybrid?
Page Architecture-this will be
designed based upon your site architecture.
To get started lay out your site on paper or on a
storyboard. Use the information that you gathered as part of your site
definition. Start with your major categories, such as your Home page,
Contact page, Feedback page, Products or Services page and so on. Then add the
pages that are going to be sub pages to those categories or sections.
Gather your site content to see what
you have to present. Make a list of the different types of information, such
as text, images, documents, files to download, files to serve up (RealAudio or
video), your database files, etc. Learn more about content and how to use it
in our content
section.
Doing all of the above will be very
helpful when you have to work on your page design and navigation.
